Welcome 02:50
Welcome Waiting on the moment, looking for a sign, I'm offline, more and more these day Banging on the door they're trying to get inside I'm airtight, learned from past mistakes Memorized the script and followed every word Details added in that only just occurred I'm trying to say the lines I'm feeling so unsure Changes happened so fast Now it's a thing of the past I'm awake I'm alive For the first time in years Welcome to the moment, welcome the new age It's so strange, all the time these days Struggling to prove it, shout from centre stage I'm okay There's that line again Momentary slip that left you in the dark Wondering the twilight searching for a spark Welcome dear you're just in time for the best part So damn hard to decide But I'm so glad that I tried I'm awake I'm alive for the first time in years All of the nights spent so alone Wandering so far from home Just up the street so unsure on my feet moving on Now each new day I'm farther away Glad to be rid of the load A little bit stronger each day a bit farther to go

What was I thinking? Sundown, and I could tell the news was bad before I picked up the phone Silence, If I said how scared I was would you have gone on alone? What was I thinking? Courting disaster I passed her the keys Try to sleep while we're speeding down County Rd. 3 Why are we running now? Awaiting disaster slumped low in my seat Try to sleep we're careening down County Rd. 3 Daylight, and I'm squinting in the sunlight from the backseat below Hindsight, If I had known you'd go this far I would have just told you no What was I thinking? Courting disaster I passed her the keys Try to sleep while we're speeding down County Rd. 3 Where are we going now? Faster and faster slumped low in my seat Try to sleep we're careening down County Rd. 3 What was I thinking? Courting disaster and passed her the keys Try to sleep while we're speeding down County Rd. 3 Why are we running now?

A walk in the woods It knocked me down It wore me out It left me tired as hell On the verge of despair Shaken and scared You were knocking on my door I tried to shake the doubt And keep the demons away Praying every new day Aware and awake Our time has just begun I hope that we can make our way Together for another day It's heavy but we got the will and the way I know in time the end will come Dissolve and slowly we're undone We're walking but we're still a long way from home Wandering wondering where were went wrong I'll always hold you close your voice in my head A light, the morning sun And we're together as one Shouting out to the world From the top of the hill To the echos in the distance Alive, feet on the ground The world still spinning around And the sun's getting low It's time that we go There's nothing else to find

Rise and shine, shotgun Good morning, fight the fear It's in the air we breath Just try to hold on tight I think I'm alright ya Don't know what came over me All the years The wait and the longing You can't turn around But what will today bring? I wonder what today will bring? The weather is fair But I'm feeling complacent It's wearing me down But it's just entertainment The moment I realised How hard I would have to try It seemed like too much I almost gave up Another chance wasted Then when I talked it through I knew that I trusted you You said it's okay Just get up again Tomorrow's another day A sober second thought A door I couldn't shut A shadow of a doubt I knew something was wrong ya Just couldn't figure out what But don't feel bad Things aren't what they seem here The shadows we cast May be our whole lives dear The devil don't care He's always been patient The message gets out It's all entertainment

The river 05:24
The river Return to the river Remembering lost summer days The signs of erosion The places the old bank had caved All alone I roamed this land Walked the valley end to end Knew every trail and path I broke for the forest Through branches and dense creeper vine 'Til I found my bearings The rusted “No Trespassing” sign Trace the scar as evidence The time I fell climbing the fence It's fading with the past And I'll wait Drift away If you change your mind I'll be searching in the shadows If you have the time Cross the river where it's shallow You'll see the other side Slow walk in the meadow Hands trailing in dry summer grass Return home in sorrow Retracing the overgrown path It's left behind, it's sun and sky Nobody cares, no one to find I found my way at last Back then this was freedom But now memories crowd in too close Unsure of this feeling Afraid of what I need the most It's time to go, it's not my home I don't live here anymore The wind begins to blow

Tell me so 05:01
Tell me so Please don't leave me in the dark Give me a hint to go on I've got a problem to solve But my questions dissolve As they leave my lips Tell me if I miss the mark Tell me if I'm getting close I'm looking off to the sides When it's here in plain sight At my finger tips I feel so dense I can't make sense And that's a problem ya I know At least you tell me so Guess it must be obvious I'm tying myself up in knots I'd be a fool to ignore The evidence anymore No the fix is in Close the door Still so unsure I always get lost in the plot I tried to follow a plan It slipped out of my hands I just had to stop But I cant quit I'm over it And that's the only life I know I'm trying to let it go On the threshold So damn scared Give me the strength to go on Think I've been here before But I chose the wrong door Try my luck again Wait in silence in the dark Watch for the light of the dawn If I get through the night I'll know things are alright And I'm moving on I'll take my time Stay outside Out of phase That's my way

The end of the day Empty bottles in a line It's snowing softly outside And we're talking like old friends Thick as theives Started out so insecure I tripped myself on each word But as the night wore on You put me at ease I told you that I'd walked Under a metal grey sky Down the highway With my face to the wind When I'd finally hitched a ride I was so worn out and tired I forgot about The trouble I was in Like a bolt from the blue Such a long way from home So I was really glad I ran into you If I look tired it's the truth Since I left home last night I must have walked a hundred miles in these shoes Hard to find you're so aloof By the end of the day I was sure I'd never make it to you If I look tired it's the truth Hey babe thanks for the ride But I'll walk on from here, no it's cool Two AM and there's rebellion Rising out of the void A subtle meanness etched on every face Across the table one last sip And slap some cash on the bar And you told me “Let's get out of this place” In the alley snow is falling And the night's at an end I tried to tell you why I needed to leave You cut me off your speech is slurred You search for keys in your purse I'm walking on alone at quarter past three Like a bolt from the blue Such a long way from home So I was really glad I ran into you If I look tired it's the truth Since I left home last night I must have walked a hundred miles in these shoes Hard to find you're so aloof By the end of the day I was sure I'd never make it to you If I look tired it's the truth Baby thanks for tonight But I can walk on from here, no it's cool Ah, no, I really have to go before too long Ah, no, I really have to know if I've been wrong
